Excited to begin working on a new project we are calling The ST1 Project. ST1 is designed to educate students about severe weather and tornado safety in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms. We are currently looking for schools in our area that might be interest in having us deliver a 30 minute presentation on:
• Basic cloud structures
• The super cell
• Tornado genesis
• Tornado safety and readiness
Of course this will be an introductory level discussion that is geared forth classroom, and is free of charge to our local schools. We see this project as a way to give back to the community and hopefully save lives. Watch for more details.

Hi!
I would try to contact the Fort Zumwalt School District about presenting to the Elementary schools in the area.
The school that I went to always welcomed that kind of thing.
Just a suggestion!

Thanks Emily. I am looking in to it.
Matt, how about talking to adults at businesses. It seems like the NWS and you guys battle complacency about heading alerts. I think sirens and warnings are so common in the tornado belt that we begin to believe that nothing will happen, or it will happen to someone else.
